The Constitution of India came into power on 26th of January in 1950, so we praise this day as the Republic Day consistently.

Republic Day Means

Republic means the power of the people living in the country and the only public has the rights to elect their leader as a president, a prime minister, etc...to lead the country. Our Great freedom fighters have struggled a lot to make “Purna Swaraj” in India.

After getting freedom from the British rule on 15th August 1947, India is declared as a democratic republic nation. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was elected as the first president of India.

The great Indian leaders and freedom fighters are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Lala Lajpath Rai, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel, etc. They fought against the British rule to make India a free country.
